For the third consecutive year Golf Wars is taking over Ironwood Golf Course to benefit We Rock Gainesville – a local kids music summer camp, gear library and community group. In our first year we were able to raise over $4000 and our second year we did even more. Now we’re making this super official on year three we have some lofty goals to hit so we are looking for new sponsors to help us boost this year’s tournament now and moving forward.
Remember, 100% of your donations and sponsorships go directly to We Rock Gainesville, which is a 501.c.3 non-profit so all your contributions are tax deductible.
In our first two years we hosted 18 teams, plus volunteers, vendors and show patrons so we’re hoping to continue to grow this year to a full slate of 27 teams, more sponsors, a bigger after party and a bigger check to We Rock Gainesville. We are seeking support from local businesses, makers, bands, volunteers and others around our community to help build this year’s impact.
There are several ways you can contribute:
Headliner Sponsorship – $1000
This helps us cover essential expenses such as promotional materials, sound and lights for our after party, on course and day of extras like photographers, DJ’s and folks that run the tournament (because it is a looong day). With the expanded approach beyond the DIY nature of the last few years, this year we have a dedicated, stronger social media and web presence with sponsorship mentions, website logo placement and an added hole sponsor package ($150 value), included in your sponsorship. Headliner sponsors will have top line logo placement on all promotional material as well as any merch we produce for the event.
Direct Support – $500
Consider a cash donation or in-kind contributions such as prizes for contests like long drive, closest to the pin, and more. This package will also include a hole sponsorship ($150 value), multiple social media mentions and 2nd line logo placement on all promotional material or merchandise produced for the event.
Local Support – Gift cards, raffle and silent auction items
Donations of gift cards or items generally valued between $50- $100 will be used as raffle prizes, with all proceeds benefiting We Rock Gainesville. Sponsors will receive recognition on promotional artwork, online promotions and social media mentions.
Single Hole Sponsorship – $150
This is your direct facetime with every golfer that plays. You can pick your favorite hole to camp out and just watch the show. Table if you like, you can set up a secondary game or just offer some cold water and the shade of a pop up tent. We will take care of your yard sign and after that you can do what you like to get your point across (within the rules of Ironwood and the generally accepted rules of golf). This is the most direct interaction any sponsor can get with the golfers.
Volunteers
Join us as a volunteer to assist with registration, event logistics, and ensuring a smooth experience for all participants and attendees. Volunteers will receive refreshments, meals, and event apparel as a token of our appreciation.
